RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OBESITY WITH DIABETES MELLITUS INCIDENT IN INTERNAL POLYCLINIC RSUD DR. MOEWARDI IN SURAKARTA YEAR 2015
ABSTRACT: Obesity is one of
the potential risk factor that causing type 2 of diabetes mellitus and more
than two-thirds patient type 2 of diabetes mellitus have obesity. Some of
research shown that obesity have an effect to diabetes mellitus. Objectives. To
know relationship between obesity with Diabetes Mellitus Incident in internal
Polyclinic RSUD Dr. Moewardi in Surakarta
year 2015. Method. This research is analytic observational with cross
sectional design. The subject is outpatiens in internal polyclinic RSUD Dr.
Moewardi in Surakarta year 2015 that fullfill inclusion criteria. Sampling
technique used non probability sampling, methods used purposive sampling.
Analyzing data used fisher’s exact.
Results. There were 75 subjects of the research that fullfill inclusion
criteria which have been measurement. From 75 respondences of the obesity 70
(93,3%) respondences T2DM and 5 (6,7%) respondences not T2DM, there are
significant relationship fisher’s exact test (p = 0.000). Conclution. Result of
the research that can be concluded there are relationship between obesity with
Diabetes Mellitus incident in internal Polyclinic RSUD Dr. Moewardi in
Surakarta year 2015.
