PENGARUH RANGE OF MOTION (ROM) TERHADAP INTENSITAS NYERI PADA PASIEN POST OPERASI FRAKTUR EKSTREMITAS BAWAH
Abstract: Fracture was a breat
of continuity and disconnection condition or cartilage which is generally
caused by involuntary and also caused by trauma or physical exertion. One of
the effects of fractures caused
primarily limited activity in patient with postoperative fracture.
Postoperative fracture can be recovered gradually through movement exercises.
The aim of this study was to determine the effect of range of motion (ROM) to
reduce pain in post surgery patients of lower extremity fracture. This study
used quasy experiment with non-equivalent control group design. Purposive
sampling technique with inclusion criteria was used to recruit 30 respondents.
The instrument in this study was observational sheet with Numeric Rating Scale
(NRS). The data were analyzed by using paired sample t-test and independent
sample t-test.The result showed p value 0,000. It meant there was a differences
between experimental group and control group. This result showed that range of
motion was effective to reduce pain. Based on this result, it is recommended to
health provider especially nurses to use range of motion as one of non
pharmacological therapy to reduce pain.
