PENGKOMPOSAN LIMBAH ORGANIK OLEH ASPERGILUS SP. UNTUK AMELIORAN PADI SAWAH
ABSTRACT: This study aims to
determine the effect of Aspergillus sp. on the degradation of organic wastes
and its impact on soil biology and rice growth. The use of organic matter
derived from various types of waste can increase soil fertility and served as
ameliorant material. The addition of Aspergillus sp. in the process of
composting organic materials can reduce the length of composting time,
increasing the nutrient content, stimulating soil biological activity, and
effecting the growth of rice plants. The
research was conducted from October 2014 untill May 2015. Composting a
municipal organic waste and paddy straw using microbial agent such as
Aspergillus sp. were designed by
factorial randomized. The results of composting then applied to the
Tempuran rice field under the treatment of
POS + A (waste organic fertilizer + Aspergillus), OJP + A (paddy straw organic fertilizer +
Aspergillus) and without the addition of organic fertilizers. The composting
process by Aspergillus sp. has affect on the declining of C / N ratio,
nutrient, and moisture stability. The results of the trials on rice plants
showed that organic fertilizer of the composting process waste by Aspergillus
sp is superior to other treatment on
plant height and number of tillers.
