ABSTRACT: Most crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus ) cultures in Indonesia still use indoor system with constant temperature, which is different from outdoor system having high temperature fluctuation. C. quadricarinatus is omnivorous and opportunistic polytrophic requiring high protein (22─53 %) feed. A study on the water quality, growth and survival rate of C. quaddricarinatus treated with different covering and feed nutrient content was conducted in 12 weeks employing Completely Random Design (CRD) arranged in a factorial treatment design (5x2). Statistical analysis showed that cover treatment had significant influence on the growth (P<0.05). Feed treatment had no influence on the growth (P>0.05). The best growth and survival rate show in water-hyacinth covering of 50 %.
