GAMBARAN DARAH IKAN PATIN (PANGASIUS SP.) DENGAN PENAMBAHAN PREBIOTIK PADA PAKAN
ABSTRACT: This study was
conducted to evaluate the blood parameters of catfish which were given
prebiotics through feed. The experiment were done with five treatments and
three replicates, are treatment A (prebiotic 0%), B (prebiotic 0,5%), C
(prebiotic 1%), D (prebiotic 1,5%) and E (prebiotic 2%). The prebiotic used was
extracted from sweet potato so called cilembu variety. The addition of
prebiotics by 1.5% (D) in the feed resulted in the best haemoglobin,
erythrocytes and leukocytes compared to the control and the other treatments.
In general, the addition of prebiotics haven’t effect on physiological
processes on catfish because it produces blood parameters (haemoglobin,
hematocrit, erythrocytes and leucocytes) are in the range of normal values.
