FAKTOR INTERNAL DAN EKSTERNAL PENGELOLAAN SUMBERDAYA PERIKANAN SECARA OPTIMAL DAN BERKELANJUTAN DI PERAIRAN PULAU PANJANG KABUPATEN SERANG PROVINSI BANTEN
ABSTRACT: Panjang Island is
one island in the Province of Banten region densely populated with a density of
4 people per km². Most of the populations (75%) depend on marine resources of
Panjang Island. At the time of abundant marine life resource fishing community
on Its Island are not many obstacles. But when the rise in population greater
than the availability, this condition will threaten the lives of fishing
communities. This study aims to determine the internal and external factors in
the management of fisheries resources in Panjang Island. Target of this
research is to be achieved is obtained fisheries resources management
strategies in the waters of Panjang Island. The method used in this study is a
survey method with the specified location deliberately. The sampling technique
used was simple random sampling. Basis for determining the sample is ownership
of a motor boat and fishing gear. The number of fisherman in Long Island
fisherman who has a 605 motor boats and fishing gear, fishing 65 selected
samples. Based on the results of that analysis, strategy based on
opportunities, threats, strengths and weaknesses are in quadrant II. The
strategy called diversification strategy. This strategy can be done by using
force to overcome the threat.
