DAMPAK PENERAPAN PP NO. 72 TAHUN 2009 TENTANG LALU LINTAS DAN ANGKUTAN KERETA API TERHADAP ARUS BARANG KOMODITI HASIL PERTANIAN DI STASIUN RANGKASBITUNG

ABSTRACT: Traders in Rangkasbitung utilize train for transporting agricultural products from Rangkasbitung to some traditional markets in Jakarta, such as Kebayoran Lama, Palmerah, Tanah Abang, Duri and Angke. Agricultural commodities that commonly transported are vegetables, root crops, fruits, spices, wrapping leaves and processed products. Implementation of Government Regulation about Road Traffic and Train Transportation (PP No. 72 2009) that limit the number of passengers luggage prohibited traders to transport their agricultural products by train. The purpose of this research were describing the changes of flowing agricultural products, comparing the cost of transportation, and analyzing the impact of banning the transportation of agricultural products by train on traders incoming after application of the rule. The research used a survey method with descriptive analysis and quantitative approach, whereas samples took in snowball sampling technique. The results showed that there was an outbreak of goods to new marketing territory that are Pasar Rangkasbitung, Cikande, Cikokol and Serpong. Comparison of the average cost of train transportation with pick-up trucks obtained ratio of 1.00: 1.73. Average of daily revenue traders who survived to use the train experienced decreasing. In other hand, average of daily revenue traders who moved to use other means of transportation experienced increase.
