ABSTRACT: The aim of this research to determine the best salinity maintenance for optimal survival rate and growth in the culture of Polychaeta. The treatment in this research using difference of salinity are 5 ppt, 10 ppt and 15 ppt with three times repeating of each treatment. The research has been done on July - August 2014 at the laboratory scale in Fishery Department of Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. The parameters of research were measured the survival rate, specific growth rate and water quality. Then analyzed using a completely randomized design (CRD) and advanced test with Duncan. The results showed that different salinity give difference significantly effect (P<0.05) for survival rate of polychaeta. The survival rate obtained in treatment C 90.74% ± 3.20, 85.18% ± treatment B and treatment 3:21 A 66.67% ± 5.56. This study showed that the salinity of 15 ppt can support optimal survival rate at Polychaeta culture.
