ADAPTASI MORFOLOGI (THALLUS DAN HOLDFAST) RUMPUT LAUT DENGAN VARIASI SUBSTRAT DI PERAIRAN TELUK AWUR KABUPATEN JEPARA
ABSTRACT: Indonesia is one of
potentially country especially as seaweeds resources. The holdfast and thalus adaptation
achieve 555 variations. The most affect in the form of those adaptations is
substrate. The seaweed substrate classify in to three forms mud, dead coral,
sand and sometimes it could attach in ephyphitic plants. The research was
established at Teluk Awur Jepara. It was used stratified random sampling with
line transect in intertidal area 100m length. It was consist of three stations
with 50 m space between station and three replications vertically and
horizontally. The data were analyzed descriptively, with variation index and
domination of seaweed correlated to types of substrate as the parameter. The result
showed that there were 7 seaweeds species identified; Padina australis;
Sargassum cinereum; Sargassum polycystum; Sargassum crassifolium; Dicyota
bartayresiana; Gracilaria salicornia dan Halimeda opuntia. There were three
types of substrate (a) sand/ dead coral, (b) stone, and (c) mud. The highest
variation index was 1,419 on sands/ dead coral substrates. The highest
domination index was 0,534 on mud substrate. The physics and chemicals
parameters were in seaweed growth standard.
